There wasn’t much movement in this week’s Prep Media basketball polls, but there was one noticeable alteration. Brandon Valley has climbed to the top position in the Class AA boys.

After previous number one Sioux Falls Lincoln fell to Mitchell last week, the Lynx moved to the top of the division. Brandon Valley is coached by former Northern State standout Craig Nelson. There are four AA squads who received at least one first-place vote in the poll this week.

Elsewhere, local squads can be found among the various divisions.

The Hamlin boys remained second in Class A, while Clark-Willow Lake stayed fifth. Castlewood stayed in second in Class B, and Leola-Frederick remained fifth.

In girls, Hamlin stayed fourth in Class A. In the receiving votes category just outside the top are Aberdeen Central in Class AA, and Mobridge-Pollock in Class A.
