Central athletes earn places at Bob Judson Invitational

PIERRE - Aberdeen Central track and field athletes got in their first outdoor action of the season during the Bob Judson Invitational on Tuesday. Competing with a limited squad, the Golden Eagles recorded places in multiple events. "It was a nice day," said Central girls' coach Jim Appl. "We improved on many fronts and made some good gains." The Central girls were led Mya Arampatzis, who ran away from the field in winning the 100-meter hurdles. Arampatzis won the the race by nearly a full second in a time of 15.29 seconds. Central's Rakyrah Wallace Espynn Kuhfeld, and Catelynn Weig finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Other Golden Eagles also secured top spots in the field events. Jaidyn Forsyth won the pole vault with teammate Lilly Flood second, Wallace won the javelin, and Lucy Fritz was second in the high jump and third in the long jump.
