Class AA track and field leaders

Aberdeen Central athletes can be found at or near the top of multiple events in this week’s Class AA track and field leaderboard.

Taryn Hermansen has the top throw in the girls’ shot put at 45-feet 4 inches, a school record that she set last week.

Three other Golden Eagles are sitting in second in this week’s ratings.

Kyson Fayant is second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of :40.55, Joran Foss is second in the shot put with a throw of 54-81/4, and Mya Arampatzis is second in the 100-meter hurdles with a clocking of :15.29

Other Central girls leaders include Jaidyn Forsyth who is third in the pole vault, Gracie Rife who is fifth in the 100-meter dash, and Breckan Santjer who is sixth in the pole vault. The 800-meter relay team, which also includes Rife and Arampatzis, is currently sixth.

The boys’ 1,600-meter relay team, of which Fayant is a member, is currently fifth, and the 400-meter relay team is rated eighth.
