A pair of individual State B champions lead the list of top returning area golfers this spring.
Gavin Colson of Sully Buttes and Brynn Roehrich of Clark-Willow Lake are back to defend their state titles this season.
Among the other top area boys returning this spring include Miller’s Derek Brueggeman who tied for sixth at last year’s state meet, Wesley Wittler of Sully Buttes who tied for eighth, Jackson Wadsworth of Hamlin who tied for 12th, Faulkton’s Drake Mueller who tied for 15th, Blaize Amdahl of Webster and Aiden Abraham of Hamlin who tied for 18th, and Doland’s Kaiden Weinreis who tied for 25th.
Other top area girls returning this season are Miller’s Jayce Pugh who finished runner-up at state a year ago, Selby’s Taryn Hettick who was fourth, Olivia Olson of Sully Buttes who tied for fifth, and Miller’s Kailyn Anderberg who finished 10th at the State B tourney.
Among the top Class A returning golfers is Sisseton’s Elliot Hortness who tied for 24th at the state tourney.
