MADISON – Madison-Chester used a bases-loaded walk to record a 4-3 walk-off victory over Groton in high school baseball Wednesday night.

The contest was tight throughout.

Jordan Pedersen had two-run double in the first inning to put the hosts up early. After Madison-Chester added another run in the second, Groton responded with three runs in the third inning to tie the score. Brevin Fliehs produced a two-run double and another run scored on a wild pitch.

The score remained deadlock until Quincy Kurtz drew a one-out bases-loaded walk to push across the game-winning run.

A pair of Madison-Chester pitchers combined to strikeout 10 Groton batters in the game.
