North Central boys, Ipswich girls take team titles

IPSWICH – North Central won the boys’ division and Ipswich claimed the girls’ team crown during the Tiger Relays track and field meet on Saturday.

There were six athletes who won multiple open events during the meet.

Timothy Rucker won the high jump and triple jump to help power North Central to the team title.

Ipswich’s Kyle Hettich won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, and Rasmus Loken won the 110-meter high hurdles and pole vault. Dustin Wurtz of Leola won the shot put and the discus.

On the girls’ side, Madisyn Gellhaus of Ipswich won the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs, while Webster’s Katie Braun won both the shot put and discus.
