HURON – Colman-Egan bolted out to a 20-4 first-quarter lead and turned back Warner 52-41 in girls’ basketball action from the Huron Classic on Wednesday.

Mackenzie Hemmer scored 19 points and Josie Mousel followed with 18 for Colman-Egan.

Kyra Marcuson topped a balanced Warner scoring attack with 12 points. Lauren Marcuson contributed 10 points, and Kamryn Anderson added nine points and seven rebounds.

The game featured the same matchup as this year’s Class B volleyball state championship, which Warner won in a sweep.
