WARNER – Groton received at least eight points from four different players on the way to a 48-26 non-conference boys’ basketball win over Warner Tuesday night.

Kaden Kurtz scored 17 points to lead the Tigers, who improved to 5-0 on the season. Lane Tietz contributed 11, Jacob Zak followed with 10 and Jayden Zak added eight.

Groton scored 12 unanswered points in the opening quarter to take a lead it never lost. The Tigers then used another scoring surge to pull away from a 23-17 advantage late in the third period.

Hunter Cramer’s seven points topped the Monarchs.
