The Aberdeen Christian basketball teams inched up in this week’s polls.

The Christian girls’ squad moved up from fifth to third after a win over previously second-rated West Central last Friday.

The Christian boys’ team moved from fourth to third after last week’s third-rated team Lower Brule lost to Lakota Tech. The Knights defeated Howard, which was receiving votes in last week’s poll, last Saturday.

Aberdeen Roncalli continues to be rated number one in the Class B girls’ poll, while Potter County remained number five in the Class B boys’ poll.

The Aberdeen Central boys are fifth in the Class AA poll. The Golden Eagles were tied for fifth a week ago.

Hamlin continues to receive votes in Class A girls.

A marquee matchup this week has the Roncalli and Christian girls squaring off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Aberdeen Civic Arena. The boys’ contest will follow around 8.
