Osborn wins Big Stick award, Vermillion state championship

GREGORY – Redfield’s Camden Osborn won the Big Stick award during the State B American Legion Baseball Tournament which concluded on Tuesday.

Osborn batted .700, going 7-for-10 in Redfield’s four games in the tourney. He also won the Big Stick award at the 2019 state tournament.

Vermillion, which ended Redfield’s season on Monday night, defeated Gregory Tuesday morning before going on to defeat Winner-Colome 8-7 in eight innings in the state championship contest. Vermillion’s Jake Jensen was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.

Gregory County won the Sportsmanship award.
