CLARK – The Aberdeen Christian volleyball team dropped four matches as part of the Clark-Willow Lake Tournament in Clark Saturday. The Knights fell to Estelline 25-18, 25-17; Clark-Willow Lake 25-12, 21-25, 26-24; Wilmot 22-25, 25-21, 25-17; and Waverly-South Shore 25-16, 25-22.

Junior hitter Chloe Bosma came on strong for the Knights, finishing with 18 kills over the final three matches of the day.

“The girls played so well in our first two matches, coming up with several big plays,” said Christian coach Sara Powell. “We just lost our steam towards the end. Chloe was definitely our big hitter today and Sophia Fogarty was on fire with her serves.”

The Knights will have little time to regroup before hitting the road again Tuesday for a non-conference contest against Hitchcock-Tulare in Tulare.

“Each week these girls are showing huge strides,” Powell said. “It’s so fun to see their excitement and competitiveness continue to grow.”
