BROOKINGS – Aberdeen Roncalli dropped a pair of tennis duals on Tuesday, falling to Brookings 6-3 and losing to powerhouse O’Gorman 9-0.

The Cavaliers, who forfeited a pair of flights on the day, won both of their contested doubles matches against Brookings by 10-4 margins. Katherine Kretchman and River Haskell won their match at flight one, while Raley Haskell and Anna Mitzel teamed up for a win at flight two.

Raley Haskell accounted for the team’s other victory, securing a 10-2 win at third flight singles.

Roncalli was close in two other matches, falling in a tiebreak in one and losing 10-8 in the other.

The Cavaliers continue their busy week of tennis on Friday when they host Rapid City Stevens at 11 a.m., followed by Rapid City Central. Roncalli will also be competing in the annual Elliott Extravaganza on Saturday where they are scheduled to conclude the event by playing Aberdeen Central around 4 p.m.
