Aberdeen Christian is the new number one-rated team in Class B boys’ basketball in this week’s media polls. The Knights, 11-0 on the season, defeated last week’s top squad White River over the weekend during the Hanson Classic in Mitchell. Christian is a unanimous selection for the top spot.

Three of the other top-rated teams also received all 17 first-place votes in this week’s poll including Sioux Falls Jefferson in Class AA boys, Dakota Valley in Class A boys, and Viborg-Hurley in Class B girls.

Other number teams including Hamlin in Class A girls with 14 first-place votes (Vermillion received the other three votes), and Sioux Falls Washington in Class AA girls (second-rated O’Gorman received two first-place votes and Sioux Falls Jefferson received the other one).

Wolsey-Wessington continues to be rated second and Warner fifth in Class B girls. Florence-Henry continues to receive votes in Class A girls, and Wolsey-Wessington received one vote in Class B boys.
