There was no movement at the top of this week’s media basketball polls, and limited movement overall despite several of the teams experiencing setbacks this past week.

The number-one rated teams in Class B, Aberdeen Christian in boys and Viborg-Hurley in girls, both lost but stayed atop their respective polls.

The top three teams in Class B boys, Christian, White River and De Smet, all suffered setbacks, but all stayed in the same spots after losing to solid Class A opponents. Christian fell to Dell Rapids, which is receiving votes in Class, White River loss to Sioux Falls Christian which is rated second, and De Smet lost to Tea Area.

Viborg-Hurley lost to Wagner, rated third in Class A.

The Hamlin girls continue to top Class A after a win over second-rated Vermillion last Saturday.

Other top rated teams continue to be Sioux Falls Jefferson in Class AA boys, Dakota Valley in Class A boys, and Sioux Falls Jefferson in Class AA girls.

The Wolsey-Wessington boys and Warner girls each received one vote in Class B this week.
