
WARNER – Second-rated Wolsey-Wessington outscored Jones County 20-8 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 55-49 girls’ basketball win during the Warner Classic Saturday night.
Mallory Miller had eight points in the pivotal period and Leah Williams scored six as the Warbirds erased a six-point deficit.
Williams finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the victory. Miller followed with 11, and Mya Boomsma added eight as Wolsey-Wessington improved to 16-2 on the season.
Mallory Valburg poured in 22 points for Jones County, and Jadyn Jensen contributed 10.
