WEBSTER – Reserve Jocelyn Ellwein nailed three three-point field goals to help stake Leola-Frederick to a first-half lead and the Titans made it hold up in a 46-33 win over Northwestern during the Region 1B girls’ basketball tournament Monday night.

Leola-Frederick, 16-6, meets Wolsey-Wessington in the SoDak 16 at Huron Thursday night.

Sofie Losure scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack for the Titans. Ellwein finished with nine, Laura Sumption followed with eight, and Kalyce Achen contributed seven.

Ella Haven and Ella Boekelheide each netted eight points to pace Northwestern. Ashley Haven added six.
