REDFIELD – Redfield scored four runs in the first inning, and five runs in both the second and third frames on the way to a 14-2 American Legion baseball win over Webster Wednesday night.

After Matt Mount put Webster in front with a two-run home run in the top of the first, Peyton Osborn matched it with a two-run homer for Redfield in the bottom half of the inning. Another run scored on an error and Erik Salmen drove in one more to give the home team a 4-2 advantage.

Redfield then broke the game open with five runs in the second. Peyton Osborn drove in the first with a bases-loaded walk, Camden Osborn drove in another after getting hit by a pitch, two more runs came in on a wild pitch and error, before Salmen again had an RBI single.

Redfield tacked on five runs more in the fourth as Keaton Rohlfs drove in one on a double, Peyton Osborn knocked in two more with another double, Camden Osborn followed with a triple and then scored on a sacrifice fly from Nolan Gall.

Peyton Osborn finished with five RBI, while Camden Osborn, Gall and Salmen each drove in a pair.

Salmen struck out six batters and allowed just the one hit in four innings.
