Brust ties for seventh at Pierre Invitational

PIERRE – Aberdeen Central’s Cole Brust captured a top ten finish as the Golden Eagles competed at the Pierre Invitational at the Hillsview Golf Club in Pierre on Tuesday.

Brust finished in a tie for seventh place with a score of 74. Watertown’s Jake Olson captured the individual title with a score of 66, four strokes ahead of Pierre golfer Nick Bothun, who shot a 70.

Central’s Kyler Senger finished in a tie for 38th with a score of 82, while Carter Blanchard tied for 41st with a score of 83. Jackson Ravellette tied for 45th with a score of 84, while Peyton Brust tied for 57th with a score of 87. Quincy Madsen tied for 78 th with a score of 97.

In team standings, the Golden Eagles finished in eighth place with a score of 323, one stroke behind Rapid City Central and two strokes ahead of Spearfish. Watertown also won the team title with a score of 284, seven strokes ahead of Pierre.

Aberdeen Central is back in action on Friday at the Huron Invitational.
