Aberdeen Roncalli split a pair of girls’ tennis matches Friday, defeating Rapid City Central by a 9-0 count and falling to Rapid City Stevents 9-0.

While the Cobblers were unable to field a full team for Friday’s matches, the Cavaliers were able to take advantage of the matches that were contested. Katherine Kretchman, River Haskell, Raley Haskell and Anna Mitzel were each victorious in their singles matches.

Kretchman and River Haskell at Flight 1 and Raley Haskell and Kiara Rivett at Flight 2 claimed doubles victories, as well.

That success was not to be duplicated against the Raiders, however, as the Cavaliers dropped all nine matches. River and Raley Haskell had the closest matches, each falling 10-4 at flight two and three singles, respectively.

Roncalli will face Watertown at 2 this afternoon followed by the annual dual against Aberdeen Central at around 4:15 p.m. to round out the Elliott Extravaganza.
