TULARE – Miller racked up 50 kills on the way to edging Hitchcock-Tulare 25-17, 21-25, 25-16, 14-25, 15-11 in a non-conference volleyball battle between two regional powers Thursday night. Paige Werdel had 14 kills and Shaylee Anderberg had 12 for Miller, which improved to 19-4 on the season. Jolie Palmer had two aces and 37 digs. Katelyn Schroeder finished with 14 kills and 29 digs for Hitchcock-Tulare, which slipped to 18-7. Ella Johnson contributed eight kills. Serving: Miller 72-85 9 aces (Gracen Werdel 6-9 3 aces, Jolie Palmer 11-13 2 aces); Hitchcock-Tulare 81-87 4 aces (Gracyn Bixler 12-13 1 ace, Isabel Gilbert 23-23).
