A pair of Aberdeen Central football players has been selected to the Class 11AA all-state football team.

Seniors Avery Ligon and Bryce Beitelspacher are both members of the offensive unit.

Ligon was chosen as a running back. He rushed 197 yards for 1,052 yards this past season.

“He’s a hard worker and a great team player,” said Central coach Justin Briese. “He’s explosive.”

Beitelspacher was selected as an offensive lineman. He finished the year with 26 pancake blocks and allowed just one sack for the Golden Eagles.

“He was the most dominant lineman on our team,” Briese said. “He finishes blocks.”
