Moni, Dilling power NSU men past St. Cloud State

Jacksen Moni and Josh Dilling combined for 62 points and a dozen three-point field goals as Northern State picked up a win over St. Cloud State in men’s basketball Friday night.

Moni finished with 38 points and Dilling contributed 24 in the Wolves’ 83-77 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men’s basketball victory at Wachs Arena.

Not only did Moni have a career-high points, he also hauled down a career-best 16 rebounds. He was 7 of 9 from three-point range. Dilling made 5 of 6 from distance as the Wolves nailed 15 of their 32 three-point attempts on the evening.

Michael Nhial contributed six points, nine rebounds and four steals to the NSU total.

The Wolves improved to 4-5 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC with the victory. Northern has now won three of its last four contests.

Northern plays host to Bemidji State in another league contest at 4 this afternoon.
