Smittys drop pair to Watertown

Watertown Post 17 rapped out eight extra-base hits to help fuel a doubleheader sweep over the Aberdeen Smittys at Fossum Field Tuesday night.

The visitors had three doubles and a home run in each contest winning the opener 12-2 and the nightcap 16-4.

Andrew Czech and Braxton Lacher each drove in four for Watertown in the first game. Lacher had three hits.

Max Prehn had a pair of hits for the Smittys, who had eight hits overall.

Czech drove in four more runs in the nightcap. Dawson Schmidt and Joe Wilber each plated three.

Aiden McCafferty hit a home run and Matt Feiock had a double for the Smittys. McCafferty and Josh Steinwandt each drove in a pair for Aberdeen.
