BRITTON – Jayden Bender scored a basket with 1:38 remaining and Britton-Hecla held Leola-Frederick scoreless the rest of the way for a 34-32 Lake Region Conference girls’ basketball win Tuesday night.

Bender finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Sterling Brassfield had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Braves. Tiyanna Schott contributed nine points and seven rebounds.

Laura Sumption topped Leola-Frederick with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sofi Losure added nine points.
