This time of the year is always a fun time for sports enthusiasts. The end of February signals the end of the winter sports season with postseason events in multiple sports popping up all across the state.

It’s also a significant time for us here at SD SportScene as well, because it marks another anniversary for us. This Monday will mark our third year of existence for SD SportScene and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our subscribers and sponsors for their continued support. We are coming off our best year yet and can’t wait get to started on year four.

Looking back on the early stages of our business, it’s easy to see how much has changed. Our site features much more information, more teams, and more ways to find our content than in the past. We have added an app, a podcast and more detailed coverage than we’ve ever offered before. We run hundreds of quality action-packed photos by John Davis, and interview hundreds and hundreds of student-athletes, far more than any other media outlet in the region. A huge shout out to Jacob Wuertz and Jacque Niles for their roles in the process.

Of course, there are some things that haven’t changed and never will, like our commitment to bring you the highest quality coverage of teams throughout the region. Each day you will find fresh, interesting, and timely content that will keep you close to all the action.

Another thing that hasn’t changed since the day we started three years ago is the cost to subscribe SD SportScene. We have not had one single rate increase because we don’t want cost to prevent people from accessing the highest quality sports coverage in the region. We think that SD SportScene, at just $60 per year, is the best value around. Think about it, what can you get for $5 per month?
