Hettich has role in four victories for Ipswich at Rotary Relays

MOBRIDGE – Ipswich’s Kyle Hettich won two open events and ran on a pair of first place relays during the Rotary Relays on Saturday.

Hettich won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and was also a part of winning 400-meter and 800-meter relay squads. Teammate Trevor Heinz also ran on those relays in addition to winning the long jump.

Leola’s Dustin Wurtz was also a double open event winner, topping the field in the both the shot put and discus.

On the girls’ side a pair of athletes won an individual event and also ran on a winning relay.

Breanna Jochim of Herreid-Selby Area won the 100-meter dash and was also a member of the first place 400-meter relay team. Heidi Olson of Mobridge-Pollock won the 3,200-meter run and was also on the winning sprint medley relay for the Tigers.
