Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern sweeps Mobridge

MOBRIDGE – Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern took two different routes on the way to an American Legion baseball doubleheader sweep over Mobridge on Friday.

W-I-N took the opener 18-0 and won the second game 2-1.

The visitors took advantage of 19 walks in the first game, while Quintin Fischbach threw a five-inning no-hitter. Fischbach also had two hits and knocked in four runs. Ashton Remily drove in three, while Xavier Kadlec had two RBI.

W-I-N scored a run in the top of the seventh frame to secure the win in the nightcap. Three different players had two hits in the victory.
