Faulkton edges Redfield for Legion victory

REDFIELD – The Faulkton Hitmen made the most of their four hits to grab a 4-1 win over Redfield in American Legion baseball action Tuesday night.

The visitors scored a run without a hit in the second inning as Cade Schick reached on a two-base error, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and came in on a sac fly by Gus Kopecky.

Faulkton added another run on back-to-back hits from Carson Stephenson and Blaze Herdman in the fifth, and then scored a pair of insurance runs in the seventh inning on back-to-back singles, an error and a sacrifice fly by Jett Kleinsasser.

Redfield’s lone run came in the sixth when Noah Johnson came across the plate on a ground out.

Herdman and Stephenson each had two hits for Faulkton, while Johnson finished with a pair hits for Redfield.
