Lake Norden-Badger picks up Legion win over Redfield

REDFIELD – Lake Norden-Badger scored in every inning but one on the way to a 17-5 win over Redfield in American Legion baseball Thursday night.

The visitors scored two runs in the first, second, sixth and seventh innings, six times in the fourth, and three runs in the fifth.

George Jensen and Rylan Thune each drove in runs in the first, Jensen and Ryker Warrington produced runs in the second, three runs scored on errors in the fourth, Cristhian Rodriguez doubled in a pair of runs in the fifth, Jensen and Warrington each drove in runs in the sixth, and the visitors tacked on two more runs in the seventh.

Redfield’s five runs came in via a pair of passed balls, a bases-loaded walk, a balk and a wild pitch. The hosts took advantage of a dozen walks and six hit batters.

Warrington finished with three hits, and three RBI for Lake Norden-Badger. Jensen and Thune also drove in three. Micah Zastrow had two hits to top Redfield.
