RAPID CITY – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun continued her standout summer winning the South Dakota Golf Association Sanford Tour event in Rapid City. The junior to be at Aberdeen Central won her fourth Sanford event this summer.
Braun shot an even par 72 on Tuesday at Meadowbrook Golf Course to finish with a 36-hole total of 147, a dozen strokes better than the rest of the field. Braun had a 75 on Monday at Red Rock.
Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink edged teammate Maddie Childs for second place by one stroke.
Riley Christensen of Sioux Falls won the boys’ division with a two-round total of 145. Luke Olson of Fort Pierre was runner-up with a 149. Jonathon DeBoer of Twin Brooks was the highest area finisher, taking 15th with a 162.
