Brewers blank Aberdeen Circus at State A tourney

MITCHELL – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar had its season come to an end in an 8-0 setback to the Sioux Falls Brewers during the State A Amateur Baseball Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Circus did have some chances, putting runners on base in seven of the nine innings, however two of the threats were eliminated on double plays.

Sioux Falls scored once in the first, twice in the third, three times in the fourth and twice in the eighth.

Sam Siegel had three hits and knocked in runs in both the first and third innings to lead the Brewers. Bryce Ahrendt pitched seven strong innings, striking out four while not giving up a walk.

Josh Steinwandt had two hits to lead Aberdeen, which receive hits from five different players.

Neither squad committed an error in the contest.
