Street Stock title comes down to final race at BCS

It had been a frustrating summer for Maria Broksieck at Brown County Speedway, but those memories were replaced by a fantastic finish for the Goodwin driver this past weekend. Broksieck wiped out a 32-point deficit in the Street Stock division and captured the track championship on the final event of the points race Saturday night. Broksieck was on the wrong end of two photo finishes earlier this summer, but won back-to-back features this past weekend to vault to the top of the points standings. "I tell you what, for the amount of DNFs and just crazy things that we’ve had happen out here, it’s pretty unreal," Broksieck said. "I’m kind of at a loss for words finishing the season off the way that we did." After her win on Friday, Broksieck had cut Chris Serr's lead down to 16 points entering Saturday's competition and sliced that down to six points heading into the feature.
