Chasing Hawk to participate in Native American All-Star Football Game

An area high school football player will be participating in the Native American All-Star Football Game on Tuesday at Ford Center at The Star, World Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys. The game is being put on by the Native American Athletic Foundation and the National Football League.

Among the South Dakota players who are a part of the rosters is Payton Chasing Hawk of Hitchcock-Tulare, who was an Honorable Mention Class 9B all-state selection this past fall.

Chasing Hawk racked up 500 yards of offense as a wide receiver and scored seven touchdown. He also had 46 tackles on defense as a safety and picked off three passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Other South Dakotans on rosters include Daniel Davis of Pine Ridge, Davonte Ross of Lakota Tech, Tristen Trejo of Little Wound, Noah Little Wounded of Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, and Tyler Valandra of Todd County.
