Central put two in finals, fourth as team at Harrisburg

HARRISBURG - Aberdeen Central had a pair of runner-up finishes and ended up fourth as a team at the Harrisburg Girls' Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Friday. The Golden Eagles finished with 100 team points, just 2.5 points behind third-place Bon Homme-Scotland-Avon. Maddy Little finished second at 100 pounds, losing to Groton's Liza Krueger by fall in the title match. Krueger improved to 32-2 on the season with the victory. Central's Lilly Nelson also finished runner-up at 165 pounds, losing by pin in the finals. Jasmine Maas, Lin Paw Jone, and Grace Reszler each took fourth for the Golden Eagles, while Rakyrah Wallace finished sixth. "There was some stiff competition," said Central coach Jake Flakus, "and we wrestled flat in a few matches and it cost us." Kyla Logan of Doland was second at 132 pounds, Brooke Grajczyk of Webster was second at 145, and Kyra Tostenson of Milbank was runner-up at 185.
