Siekfen, Vikander named second-team all-state

A pair of Aberdeen Cougars has been selected to the second team of the South Dakota Hockey all-state squad.

Forward Rachel Siefken and goalie Chloe Vikander were both chosen on the honor unit.

First team selections are forward Brylee Kafka of Oahe, forward Emma Honner of Sioux Falls, forward Reese Amick of Mitchell, defense Rebecca Harris of Sioux Falls, defense Kailee Behm of Oahe, and goalie Rorii Quam of Brookings.

Other second team members are forward Harper Hendricks of Watertown, forward MaKenna Tronnes of Mitchell, defense Tristen Zimmer of Mitchell, and defense Corinne McCord of Sioux Center.

The state tournament starts today in Sioux Falls.
